Non-Profit/Government Communications
Gaining media visibility for the work of non-profit or governmental organizations has never been more important. In recent months, Maccabee Group helped:
The Minnesota Office of Environmental Assistance kick off its Junk Mail Reduction Campaign, one of the largest public education efforts in its history. |
The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library complete a publicity program for its $20 million Renewal Campaign to renovate the downtown Central Library. |
Metropolitan State University introduce its new president, launch its Community Violence Prevention Institute, and transform its identity, shedding its old image as a "University Without Walls." |
Maccabee Group worked behind-the-scenes on each of these three campaigns helping non-profit and governmental organizations articulate their message, approach the news media, and recruit new members, benefactors and legislative support.
The results are powerful. Maccabee Group's publicity for the junk mail campaign generated more than 300 phone calls to the Office of Environmental Assistance in a 48-hour period and thousands of visits to the program's website, reduce.org. Once at the site, more than 12,000 consumers downloaded a junk mail reduction tip sheet. And best of all, the campaign was estimated to have reduced unwanted mail in Minnesota by more than 300,000 pounds!

"It's a loud and busy world out there, and getting attention for what we do is tougher than ever before. Non-profits like ours depend on the Maccabee Group to help us craft our messages, reach our target audiences and get results sooner rather than later. The Maccabee Group team does for us what we cannot do for ourselves; give us a distinct voice in an arena where everyone is loudly singing their own tunes."
