FOR “A DAY MADE BETTER” CAMPAIGN
February 19, 2008 – The Retail Advertising and Marketing Association
(RAMA) has honored “A Day Made Better,” the 1,000-school cause
marketing campaign produced by OfficeMax and Maccabee Group, with a national
2008 RACie Award. “A Day Made Better” involved more than 4,000
OfficeMax associates at more than 900 stores, with the campaign generating
$2.4 million in positive publicity for OfficeMax, including 227 TV segments
and hundreds of news articles reaching more than 50 million consumers.
Maccabee Group’s campaign drove a 1,018 percent increase in Web
traffic and a 459 percent increase in donations for OfficeMax’s
non-profit partner, Adopt-A-Classroom.

jointly won a national 2003 Silver Bulldog Award this month for a global

April 25, 2001 A General Mills publicity campaign that highlighted the insertion of newly-minted Year 2000 pennies into 10 million boxes of Cheerios has earned Maccabee Group and its client, General Mills, a national Bulldog Award for Excellence in Media Relations & Publicity. Maccabee Group won the first place Gold Award for "Best Food and Beverage Public Relations Campaign" from Infocom Group, which publishes the PR industry newsletter, Bulldog Reporter. The campaign helped generate 94 million consumer print impressions in more than 600 newspapers and magazines.
MLT Vacations Selects Maccabee Group for National Publicity
April 16, 2001 MLT Vacations Inc., the Minneapolis-based charter travel company known for its "Worry-Free Vacations" to 26 destination cities in the Caribbean, Costa Rica, Mexico and the U.S., has selected Maccabee Group, Inc. as its public relations agency. MLT Vacations Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Northwest Airlines, will use Maccabee for regional and national media relations and corporate communications.
