Premiere Publicity for Cirque de Soleil
When Cirque du Soleil debuted its new Chinese-themed show, "Dralion," in Minnesota, it relied upon Maccabee Group to produce a publicity blitz for an indescribable spectacle. Strategies ranged from hiring a sidewalk chalk artist to portray Cirque’s dragon on the streets of Minneapolis to a circus ‘Big Top Raising’ event aimed at TV coverage and targeted outreach to gay and lesbian, Asian-American and other audiences.
