Mike Weiner, Director of Web & Interactive Strategies


A 20-year veteran of public relations, Mike's background includes work in strategic marketing, media relations, Web development and multimedia production. In addition to directing NODE, Maccabee Group’s social media and online reputation management practice, Mike guides Web-based campaigns for AmericInn Hotels, Thomson Reuters, Hazelden, Gold’n Plump and AAA Minneapolis. Mike's most high-profile success at Maccabee Group was orchestrating the media relations campaign for OfficeMax's "ElfYourself" holiday Web site, a runaway hit that achieved a #1 ranking in worldwide Web traffic by Alexa.com in its debut year.

Prior to joining Maccabee Group, Mike operated his own Web and multimedia development firm, Art of Fact Media, for 6 years. Under Art of Fact Media, Mike created and developed a variety of Web and multimedia content for such clients as US Bank, General Mills, Ecolab, Ordway Center for the Performing Arts and the University of Minnesota. Mike also had the great fortune of working closely with Hamline University for more than a year on the planning of the school's 150th anniversary celebration, which included events, videos, Web content and multimedia displays. Earlier in his career, Mike worked for agencies Tunheim Partners and Karwoski & Courage PR, where he served clients including US Bank, Target, 3M and Cargill.
